"Let's Talk Business"—Aspiring Entrepreneurs Network
Pondok Abang's co-owner Mr Hasan Abdul Rahman was invited to speak at the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (SICCI) Aspiring Entrepreneurs Network's networking session titled "Let's Talk Business!" at Colonial at Scotts yesterday evening.
After a brief introduction about Pondok Abang, Mr Hasan spoke about the benefits of taking advantage of government grants such as the Capability Development Grant by Enterprise Singapore; consultancy on these grants can be found at SME Centres at the various Chambers of Commerce in Singapore. Mr Hasan told the audience, "The reason is simple; We want to Automate and Digitalise because we want to increase our output so that we can compete in the global market, and it is really not tough as everyone thinks. There are consultants such as iCare, and the Torch Group who could assist us in developing business mapping processes, advise on suitable grants and work together step by step through the application process.
The four companies that are changing the world are Apple, Google, Amazon and Facebook. Their collective revenue is estimated to be 2.3 Trillion USD. The reason for their success is obvious. Their products and services intertwined with the lives of billions of people through Automation and Digitalisation. So what’s stopping you to go through this profitable process?"
